Mill Family Resource Centre - The centre is holding an information morning on Friday, November 25th at 11 a.m. The topic is on Domestic Violence against Women in conjunction with the National Sixteen Days Violence against Women Campaign. Allotments: There are still a few allotments available, contact Sue if you wish to book one for the year. Costs, 30 ft x 30 ft is 40 euro or 28 ft x 15 ft is 20 euro per year. Urlingford Active Retirement Club is holding a Sale of Work on this Saturday, November 12th from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Mill Family Resource Centre. All proceeds are funding the Retirement Club. Retirement Men’s Group: This is run every Friday morning at 11.30 a.m. in the centre, activities include darts, rings, chess, cards and bowls. Christmas Cooking - A two night (Tuesdays - 15th and 22nd November) “Christmas Baking” night class will take place in Colaiste Mhuire Johnstown from 7.30-9.30 p.m. cost 25 euro per person. It is a cookery demonstration based on Christmas Baking (cakes, puddings etc). Enquiries to (056) 8831135 to enrol, places limited in class. Also a four night “Make your own Cake and Decorate It” night class will start on Thursday, November 17th (4 nights only) in Colaiste Mhuire, Johnstown from 7.30-9.30 p.m. Cost 50 euro. Cemetry – The Rosary in Johnstown Cemetery will be recited every Sunday during the month of November at 2.30 p.m. In the event of bad weather it will be in St. Kieran’s Church.

Congratulations – Goes to Selena Power, Clomantagh, Woodsgift on completing the Dublin City Marathon on Monday, October 31st in 2 hours 30 mins. She is prominent member of the Emeralds Hurling Club. She is nursing in Dublin and is daughter of Mr and Mrs Michael Power.
Death – The death has taken place, peacefully, of Mrs Christine Butler (nee Glendon) of Barna, Woodsgift. She belonged to a highly respected family and her passing was deeply regretted over a wide area. This bore testimony to the large attendance from Doyle’s Funeral Home, Urlingford to St Patrick’s Church, Graine and after concelebrated Mass burial took place in adjoining cemetery. Deeply regretted by her sorrowing husband Noel, son Noel, brothers, sisters, relatives, close friends and neighbours.
Ring - An engagement ring was found in Graine Church last week. This ring may have been there some time so if you know of anyone who may have lost it please inform P.P. or sacristan in Graine Church.
