Local Minister, Alan Kelly, has praised the “mighty community efforts” for the excellent scoring and improvements made in this year’s national tidy towns’ competition.
“North Tipperary did exceptionally well in with the performance of various towns and villages improving so much.
“Nenagh in particular improved significantly.
“It is a testament to the community spirit and the volunteerism of so many that we are able to do so well in these national competitions. It is only a matter of time before we are winners,” stated Minister Kelly.
“The tidy towns is a terrific competition that brings out the best in every community.
“I would particularly like to congratulate Birdhill who won in North Tipp and Silvermines who received a strong commendation from the tidy towns’ organisation.
“The mentions were well deserved,” concluded Kelly.
