Cashel Boxing Club has seen another great year, enjoyed by members, coaches, and a hard working committee.

Chairperson Martin Browne described it as a club going from strength to strength and with the support of Alison De Vere Hunt of Cashel Mart, the club is sure to continue the success it has seen lately.

As the boxing season is nearing it’s end, it can be summed up as an eventful year with a number of County titles and some Munster titles being claimed for the under age boxers of the club. However, the highlight of the year must be the recent All Ireland win by Linda Donoghue. The 2014 National Champion defended her title earlier this month in Dublin and now has two, back to back, gold medals from the All Ireland Championships. Linda’s success is certainly inspiring for all the other members, girls and boys alike. The ever dedicated and hard working boxing club committee member Sr. Mary Walsh is organising another book sale in Tesco shopping centre in June, so if anyone would like to donate books they can do so by bringing them to Spafield Family Resource Centre, marked Cashel Boxing Club.

Finally, Golden Kilfeakle GAA club has been a good host for the club the past few months and the club would like to thank them for welcoming them to their premises. For updates on competitions and fund raising events, see Cashel Boxing Club on www.facebook.com.
