An Bord Pleanála has refused permission for a major re-development of the old Tesco site in the heart of Roscrea.
Plans had been lodged by TCORP Properties Limerick Limited for the development of a three-storey mixed use development comprising of the demolition of buildings, construction of buildings, extension to an existing building, and the provision of new mall and health centre, at Roscrea Shopping Centre, Castle Street
Submissions and/or objections were raised by the Department of Arts, Heritage & the Gaeltacht, The Heritage Council, An Taisce, An Chomhairle Ealaíon, & Fáilte Ireland. On July 20th, the Board ruled against the development. Full story in this week’s Tipperary Star.
