Deputy Noel Coonan is encouraging Tipperary groups to apply for assistance under the 2013 Local Agenda 21 (LA21) Environmental Partnership Fund.

Many Tipperary groups received funding in 2012 for initiatives such as sustainable art projects, primary school puppetry workshops, data collection and biodiversity surveys and environmental workshops.

Deputy Coonan said: “Eligible projects are those that will support and complement, at a local level, national environmental policies such as those on waste, biodiversity, climate change, air, water and sustainable development.” Application must be made through the local authority before September 30.
