Templemore Gathering

A group of volunteers came together in the Main Street on Tuesday last to begin the clean-up of our town before the expected visitors begin to arrive for the Gathering Year. It is amazing what can happen with many hands working.

A group of volunteers came together in the Main Street on Tuesday last to begin the clean-up of our town before the expected visitors begin to arrive for the Gathering Year. It is amazing what can happen with many hands working.

The parking bays in the upper square area were cleaned up as were the different flower beds in that vicinity. Well done and thanks to the young people who helped in this work.

But the major piece of work undertaken was the cleaning and painting of a shop front. All this work was done in about 2 hours !! On Friday morning a group of workers applied a second coat of paint. The effort put in has greatly enhanced the appearance of our square and plans are afoot for further work evenings to continue this great work.

The public have been most complimentary of the clean-up and those involved would really appreciate more volunteers coming on board.
