A big thanks to the Proprietors Of The Ship Pub, Billy and Mary Fogarty who looked after us with very tasty food and refreshments, to the ladies who did the catering and also to Mr. Pat McGrath who provided us with his field to park the tractors. It is your generous and continued support which enables us to carry on with our fundraising efforts for North Tipperary Hospice. Thank you one and all.

Drama Group - This Saturday, April 20th, our Holycross-Ballycahill Drama Group travel to Cork to compete in the All-Ireland Drama (confined) competition final with their play “The God of Carnage”. This play directed by Pat McGrath has been acclaimed by a number of adjudicators as the group wended their way to the final. The cast, Jacqui Lacy, Salome Hennessy, Derek Doherty and Marty O’Neill have also been extolled by the adjudicators. We wish the group well and every success.

Spring Clean - An Taisce’s National Spring Clean. This Saturday, April 20th the annual National Spring Clean takes place. The local Tidy Village Committee ask for your help and co-operation, please take responsibility for the path or road outside your house, clear the litter and the many twigs and leaves strewn about. Litter bags etc., may be had if you call (0504) 43879 (weekdays) or Holycross Tidy Village Committee (0504) 43926.

Bus to Knock - Holycross-Ballycahill Active Retirement Group wish you to know that the bus leaves Holycross from outside the Abbey at 8.15am on this Saturday, April 20th (bring packed lunch).

Coach Trip - Holycross-Ballycahill Active Retirement Group are organising a 3 Day (2 Overnights in Armagh) Coach Trip from May 29th to May 31st incl, to Armagh and Belfast including visit to Titanic Exhibition. The trip will cost €175 per person sharing (€45 single supplement), this includes bed and breakfast, 2 dinners and admission charge to Titanic Exhibition. It will depend on numbers travelling whether the trip will go ahead or not. Forward booking is necessary and a €50 deposit is required when you book. Names of those wishing to travel with deposit should be given to either Rita Croke (0504) 43188, Siobhan Hayes (0504) 43123 or Breda Ryan (087) 2961083 on or before Saturday, April 20th.
