Thank You - Ballingarry would sincerly like to “Thank” all our Volunteers who are busy getting Ballingarry ready for 2013 Tidy Towns Competition. We are looking for People who can help with Carpentry, Blocklaying, Gardeners, Artists and any Volunteers who can help in any way. We won’t have the ability to increase our Marks from 192 if the Community does not become involved. We have jobs to suit everyone. So come along at 10am on Saturday mornings outside Martin Hanarahans. An hour or two is not a lot to ask, and we only have 7 weeks left before judging.

The Old School, The Commons - Our school re-union will be celebrated on June 29th and we would like to invite all past pupils of the school to this event, (See The Gathering website for details). As it may be difficult to make contact with all past pupils we would appreciate any help we can get in making contact with others or collecting old photographs etc.  If you would like to help out in any way please text your name to (086) 312 1950 and we will gladly get in touch. Music lessons have resumed in the school on Wednesdays and Fridays.  If you would like to join the others who are taking music classes each week, please come along on Wednesdays for the following classes; Tin Whistle from 6 to 8pm;  Bodhrán from 7 - 8pm ; Banjo from 8 to 9.30pm and Accordion from 8 to 9pm.  Guitar lessons on Friday evenings are from 5 - 6pm for beginners and 6 - 7pm for Advanced.  Please come along as we are hoping to build up our music group for next summer’s music festival which will take place on June 30th. Step dancing time is 5-6pm on Friday evenings and Adult Set Dancing time is from 9 to 10pm on Monday nights.  Our annual Céilí will take place on June 29th.

Presentation Secondary School - Plans are well underway to welcome past pupils together with current and present staff to our Gathering on May 4th. Do not miss out on this opportunity to meet old friends and to take a trip down memory lane. The day will begin with an informal gathering at the school from 2-4 pm when you will have a chance to meet and chat as you view memorabilia and recall memories of your time at the school. This will be followed by a night of fine dining, dancing and entertainment at The Anner Hotel beginning with a drinks reception at 7.30pm and all for just €45.
