The Late Thomas (Jnr.) Hogan -
The untimely death occurred at his home peacefully on Friday, 12th April of Thomas (Tom) Hogan of Coolawley in the loving care of his family in his 54th year. Tom was an industrious farmer who was extremely well known by his caring and kind nature. He is deeply mourned by his heartbroken wife Judy, daughters Ciara and Dense and her partner Thomás, his devoted parents Tommy and Peggy, sisters Mary and Catherine, brothers John and Paul, brothers-in-law Tony and John, sister-in-law Ann, Paul’s partner Sarah, all his nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbours and friends. Reposing was at his home in Coolawley. On Sunday 14th removal took place to the Church of the Assumption, Killesmeestia. The Principal concelebrant of the Concelebrated Requiem Mass was Tom’s uncle, Fr. Seamus McEvoy with five other priests. The burial was in the adjoining cemetery. May he rest in peace.
Billiards - The Joseph Thompson Memorial Billiards Tournament commenced recently in the O’Brien Billiard Hall. On Friday night, 12th April last year’s beaten sem-finalist Paul McLoughlin, Edenderry defeated Borris-in-Ossory man Liam O’Brien by 500-439. Competitions continue.
