AN BORD Pleanála has overturned a decision made by North Tipp County Council granting retention planning permission for an infill site in the middle of Roscrea.

Fr Damien Nolan of Upper Limerick Street, Roscrea, appealed the decision made by the Council on April 30 this year, granting permission for the infill subject to four conditions. The Department of Arts Heritage and Gaeltacht, The Heritage Council, Fáilte Ireland, An Taisce, and An Chomhaire Ealaion (Arts Council) were also involved in overseeing the case.
