U/14B County Final Cappawhite U14’s lose out narrowly - Cappawhite 1-05; Kildangan 0-10. Cappawhite lost out narrowly by 2 points after a thrilling final played in the Ragg on Saturday last. Kildangan settled quicker and were first to register a point on the score board. They tagged four more on after that and led by five points however Cappawhite came back into it with ten minutes to go before the break and put over two points. There was nothing between these two teams with three points separating them at half time. The Cappawhite lads must got some inspirational speech at the break because they came back out and scored 1-01 in the first 10 minutes to bring them level for the first time in the match however Kildangan responded immediately with a point to take the lead again. It was all Cappawhite in the last 10 minutes but kildangan defended well and managed to put over another point in the final minutes. Well done to Cappawhite for a great display of team work and hurling. Every player on the field gave it their all. They can hold their heads high. It wasn’t to be their day.
