Tractor & Vintage Car Run in Ballingarry - The Tractor and Vintage Car Run, which took place on Sunday last, 29th April in Ballingarry as a Fund-Raiser for our Tidy Towns effort was a success beyond all our expectations. Well done to all involved. A big thank you to Ballingarry G.A.A. Club for use of their field, without which we would have been in trouble, because of the huge number of vehicles which showed up. Thanks also to Ballingarry Civil Defence for the great job they did on the day, by helping to keep everyone safe on the day.
Ballingarry Tidy Town’s Competition - We will be meeting at the Community Centre every Saturday morning at 10 o’clock, until further notice. Please come along and help with the clean-up. For further information you can log onto Ballingarry Tidy Towns on facebook. There is still a lot of work to be done, so all help will be greatly appreciated. If anybody requires any assistance, please do not hesitate to let the Tidy Towns Committee know, as we are all aiming to achieve the same goal. We would like to thank all those who have volunteered their time, over the past weeks. Improvements are evident, and being commented on.
Ballingarry Community Centre - Is inviting tenders for work to the Community Centre regarding; (a) Spray Foam Insulation and Roof leak repair; (b) Alterations to Heating System. The Commons Community Playschool - Are now taking enrolments for September 2012 catering for children aged 2yrs 6mths to 5 years ECCE, CETS and reduced rates for families receiving social welfare payments, for details contact Alice Teehan (052) 9154900.
Sunday May 6th - There will be a stop off at the G.A.A. field for The 3 Ballingarry motor bike run in aid of Cystic Fibrosis. This will take place at 12.30 p.m. Please come along and give your support.
Folk Choir - Folk group meets every Monday night in the sacristy meeting room at 8.30 p.m. All members are asked to attend. New members welcome.

Cystic Fibrosis - Thanks to everyone who supported the recent Church gate collection which raised 821 euro. Your generosity is very much appreciated.
The Commons Community Childcare - Will hold their annual church gate collection on Saturday 12th & Sunday, 13th May.
Congrats - Congratulations to Presentation Secondary School Students Darren and Leanne Prout and Aoibhe O’Shea who between them won 3 Gold & 2 Silver Medals at the Tipperary Secondary Schools Athletics in Templemore on Wednesday, 25th April. Darren won two gold, Boys 100m & Long Jump, Aoibhe won Gold in Girls 800m and Silver in Girls Long Jump while Leanne won silver in Girls 100m. All 3 will take part in the Munster Schools Athletics Championships in Waterford this Wednesday, 2nd May. Best of luck to Aoibhe O’Shea who lines out with the Tipperary U/14 Ladies Footballers against Waterford next Saturday in the Munster final.
