Our AGM was held on Sunday afternoon last at the clubhouse at 3pm. While there was a small attendance it was a good meeting with everyone present making a valuable contribution. The meeting under the chairmanship of Alan Maher started with an address from President Sean Ryan who said that in his four years there had been great improvements to the course and he was confident that this would continue in the future. Chairman Alan thanked the committee for their support especially Francis Ryan competition secretary and Liam and his Fas team. Lady Captain Lily said that Sean Ryan in his four years as president had shown an example of how the holder of the office should behave and enhanced the image of the club. The following are the officers of the club for 2012:

Treasurer: Helen McMorrow, PRO: John Hackett.

Juvenile Officers: Michael Fennell & Francis Ryan.
Committee: Liam Leahy, Jim Leahy, Josie McCormack.
Auditor: Michael O’Brien.
Delegates to Co Board: Francis & Seamus Ryan.
Delegate to Co Convention: Francis Ryan.
During a lively discussion on club matters all were agreed that the future of the club lay in its juvenile members and a big effort will be made in 2012 to sell the game to young people. Next year there will, during the school holidays be special interactive evenings for juveniles and their parents where it can be explained how the club can provide sporting activities such as coaching etc to make the game more interesting and enjoyable to adults and juveniles alike.
Finally, four motions to the convention were presented to the meeting for ratification. These were to do with the running of the course, ie, course manager and course committee. After some discussion all four were duly passed. Chairman Alan thanked all for their contribution and brought the meeting to a close.
