Tipperary Water County Senior Hurling Championship Q-Final
Major shock as Kildangan advance to semi-final
Drom-Inch dumped out by north champions
Seamus Callanan failed to spark
Kildangan caused the shock of the championship by knocking out Drom-Inch of the county senior hurling championship.
Kildangan 2-18
Drom-Inch 1-17
Two second half goals in three minutes paved the way for the shock of the round as north champions Kildangan dumped out favourites Drom-Inch of the Tipperary Water senior hurling championship at Semple Stadium this afternoon.
Having led by 0-11 to 0-8, Kildangan bagged goals from Tadhg Gallagher and Ruairi Gleeson to give them a real cushion early in the second half. And, Drom-Inch just could not find the necessary fire to bring themselves back into the game, with Seamus Callanan playing on the periphery for the entire game.
Drom-Inch tried everything in their power to get back the deficit but a string of saves from Kildangan keeper Barry Hogan denied them time and again.
