Clonoulty Rossmore 1-18

Mullinahone 1-10

Clonoulty Rossmore are through to the Tipperary county senior hurling championship semi-final sponsored by Tipperary Water after their victory over Mullinahone this afternoon in Semple Stadium.

The west champions laid the foundations to their victory in the first half as they led by 0-12 to 0-4 at the break. And, Mullinahone lost the services of former Tipp star Eoin Kelly just before half time having been carried off with a leg injury.

Mullinahone worked to hard to try and get back into the game with county star Sean Curran notching up a few important scores, but Clonoulty Rossmore, for whom Timmy Hammersley bagged 0-10, just had too much fire power for their opponents - substitute Paudie White goalling right at the death to extend the margin of their victory.

Worryingly for Clonoulty Rossmore, centre back John O'Keeffe who won an All-Ireland medal with Tipperary a few weeks ago, was also carried just before the end of the game.
