Tipperary finished strongly to earn a draw with Sligo at Markievicz Park on Sunday afternoon, securing their position in Allianz Division three for another year.
Sligo lead by four points with one minute remaining, but the visitors continued to attack and fought their way back to level terms with a goal and a point in the dying minutes.
Sligo held a one point lead, at 0-10 to 2-03 at half-time, and the sides were level four times after the re-start.
Both sides knew they were safe once Longford beat Westmeath, but there was a nervous final few minutes as the sides awaited news from the midlands to discover their fate.
