The Tipperary Supporters Club launched the 2013 Adult Membership on Wednesday, January 16th at the Horse & Jockey Hotel. A very good attendance travelled from far and wide including all parts of Tipperary and Ennis, Kildare, Laois, Dublin, Kilkenny and Cork and included Eamon O’Shea, Senior Manager, William Maher, Minor Manager, and players Paul Curran, Eoin Kelly, Brendan Maher, John McGrath and Bill Maher.
County Board Officers were also present. Eamon O’Shea launched the Membership and he thanked the Tipperary Supporters Club for all their help and urged all Tipperary Supporters to join the Club as a practical way of showing support for the team.
He said that the Panel, which had trained in Thurles earlier that evening, were looking forward to the start of the Waterford Crystal Cup and Allianz Hurling League where they planned to give competitive and committed performances. William Maher also thanked the Tipperary Supporters Club for its help with the successful 2012 All-Ireland Minor campaign and outlined his approach for the year ahead.
Adult Membership in 2013 will cost €30 (unchanged since 2005). Each Adult Membership Card will be accompanied by a Tipperary Car/Window Sticker and a gift of a specially produced soft feel Winter Hat in the traditional Blue and Gold colours of Tipperary and featuring the Tipperary Supporters Club official logo. To see an image of this lovely gift go to http://www.tippsupportersclub.com.
Adult Members will be entered in Ticket Draws for five pairs of stand tickets before each of Tipperary’s Munster and All-Ireland championship games. They will also be entered in a Draw for an All-Ireland Hurling Weekend stay at the Four Star Louis Fitzgerald Hotel, Dublin (match tickets included). Also members can access a discount scheme and will receive regular updates by email on team news, match reports and events. In addition members providing phone numbers will receive text alerts with Tipperary SH League and Championship team selections.
The Committee is actively seeking more people interested in helping the Tipperary hurling effort. The plan is to extend the adult membership base further and anybody who would like to take some Supporters Club memberships to join up their friends is welcome to contact Supporters Club PRO, John Coman on 087-9087105 or by email at email@example.com.
Supporters can join on line on www.tippsupportersclub.com by credit card or debit card or with usual local sellers. On the website details are also available of the direct debit facility; as the Club is run on a completely voluntary basis it would be a great help if members could join by direct debit.
If joining by post please send a cheque or postal order payable to Tipperary Supporters Club to Jim Reidy, 13 Castleknock Close, Castleknock, Dublin 15(086-3580718, email: firstname.lastname@example.org ).
Junior Membership is still free and Junior Members do not have to rejoin as their membership is carried forward from year to year.
