Tipperary’s hurlers and footballers are both in competitive action this weekend having had successful outings in the weekend just gone.
The footballers continue their Allianz National Football league campaign with the visit of Waterford to Clonmel Sportsfield on Sunday afternoon. Peter Creedon’s men had an impressive start to their league with a comprehensive win over Carlow on Sunday last and they will hope to build on that by claiming maximum points from the first week of the season.
The hurlers travel to Sixmilebridge on Friday evening for the final of the Waterford Crystal Cup where they take on All-Ireland champions Clare in their own patch.
Tipperary have run up big scores en-route to the final and have been giving plenty of opportunties for fringe players to show what they can do. Friday will be a real test and the players will have it all to do to come away from Sixmilebridge with the honours. It would be a big boost though to win the competition and claim the first cup for 2014.
