Thurles U13’s defeated Cashel 41-7, in Cashel, in the U13’s Cup competition to secure a home draw in the semi final.

Although comfortable winners in the end it was Cashel who started this game the strongest playing with the wind in the first half.

It took them just three minutes to cross the Thurles line for their fist and only try of the game.

There after Thurles took over in this game and after repeated attempts to cross the Cashel line Michael Mulcaire went over in the corner for Thurles’s first try.

From then on it was all one way traffic and tries from Conor O’Hagan, Anthony McKelvey, Paddy McGrath and Michael Ryan helped Thurles to victory on a healthy score line. Thurles’s next game will be a semi final outing with opposition and date yet to be confirmed.

Training for mini rugby (U12’s, U10’s, U8’s and U7’s) continues every Saturday at 12pm.
