County senior football final analysis and reaction.

For two of the more seasoned members of the Loughmore Castleiney team, Sunday was indeed a sweet day which will be remembered for many many years to come.

Granted, Derek Bourke will always be remembered as the captain of the side who did not start the final, but he will also be recalled with great affection for his sheer honesty and his willingness to do whatever job was asked of him, for the good of the team. And, for long serving half back Tom King, Sunday will be remembered for his charge forward and brilliant finish to rattle the Aherlow net in the 7th minute - a goal which put distance between the sides and helped Loughmore Castleiney into an advantageous position.
