Borris-Ileigh GAA

U21 Hurling: Hard luck to our under 21 team who were knocked out of the north championship by Kilruane on Sunday afternoon. It was a hard fought game by a very young Borris side. The score was 1-13 to 0-13. The defeat now brings to an end our involvement in the competition. We would like to thank all those involved with the team for their time and effort throughout the year.

Captaincy: Massive congratulations are in order to Brendan Maher who has been appointed as Tipperary Senior Hurling Team Captain. This is a fantastic honour for Brendan and we are sure he will lead Tipperary the same way that he has been leading Borris.

New walkway: As many have noticed the new walkway is now open for use during the day. We hope to have the lights in operation either this week or the next. We ask people to respect the new facility and to keep it clean of rubbish. We also ask that people do not walk their dogs on the track.

Jim Egan 7s: Borris-Ileigh GAA have been invited to take place in the Jim Egan 7s tournament this Saturday in Puckane. It promises to be a great day and support is greatly welcomed.
