Tipp’s Ger Ryan is new Munster Council PRO

He may just have decommissioned his laptop as PRO of the Tipperary County GAA Board, but Templederry man Ger Ryan didn’t have much time to enjoy itchy fingertips, as he has been elected PRO of the Munster Council.

He may just have decommissioned his laptop as PRO of the Tipperary County GAA Board, but Templederry man Ger Ryan didn’t have much time to enjoy itchy fingertips, as he has been elected PRO of the Munster Council.

A highly efficient and productive PRO of the Board, Ger Ryan is following directly in the footsteps of Ed Donnelly having taken over from the Moycarkey Borris man as PRO of the Tipp Board, and now as PRO of Munster Council.

Both mens terms of office had come to an end, but while Munster had no problems in filling Ed’s position, Tipperary still have not filled the seat vacated by Ger. It is expected to be sorted out in the coming weeks, The Tipperary Star understands, with Secretary Tim Floyd acting in the role for the timebeing.

Meanwhile the Tipp senior hurlers will play UL in MacDonagh Park Nenagh on Sunday at 2:00pm -the Waterford Crystal semi-final game was cancelled last weekend due to a waterlogged pitch. The final vs Clare is in Sixmilebridge on Friday Feb 2nd at 7:30pm.
