J K Brackens put a disappointing first round defeat by Holycross-Ballycahill behind them to secure their place in the Centenary Agri Mid Tipperary senior hurling quarter-final by deservedly beating Moycarkey-Borris by seven points at The Ragg on Sunday last.

The merit of the Templemore lads’ win cannot be questioned but an under-performing Moycarkey-Borris kept after them all the way, the winners scoring the last three points to inflate their margin of victory.
