The final of the Fast Trap A7 Stake kindly sponsored by Dessie Kerrigan was the feature race at Thurles last Saturday night and it was won impressively by Droopys Banner [Blackstone Gene –Droopys Bolero] owned by the Garrahy Fitzgerald syndicate and trained by Pat Guilfoyle.

The final of the Fast Trap A7 Stake kindly sponsored by Dessie Kerrigan was the feature race at Thurles last Saturday night and it was won impressively by Droopys Banner [Blackstone Gene –Droopys Bolero] owned by the Garrahy Fitzgerald syndicate and trained by Pat Guilfoyle.

Running from trap one the winner was led in the early stages by Dubmire flyer but was soon in command and went right away to score by six and a half lengths in a good 29.20 from Faithful Times with Dubmire another length back in third place.

The winners prize here was E900.

Race one: The first race on the card was won by Siobhan McGraths Sonagabbana [Hondo Black – Sonatina] who was winning for the fifth time.

Running from trap five the winner led down and was always holding the challenge of Lonergans Pub who ran on to finish second four and a half lengths back with Ten Strong Men anther to lengths back in third place.

Race two The second race the Bet With The Tote A3 Semi final was won by Peter Foleys Active Linnet [Hondo Black – Fast Mega] who was making it twelve career wins when clocking 29.51. making every post a winning one the winner was always holding the late challenge of Galtymore Miggs who was a length adrift at the line with Gerros Redsox another four lengths back in third place.

Race three: The third race on the card a sprint was won by the reserve Soul Daddy [Scholari Me Daddy – Lemon Soul] owned by the Three K syndicate and trained by David Flanagan.

Here Ballymac Pact made the early running and led to the last bend where the winner came through and went on to win by a length in a time of 19.83 with Gaytime Copy another length back in third place.

Race four: Race four a 600yd A3/A4 semi final was won by Roger Dwans Borna Premier [Premier Fantasy – Borna Fastner] who clocked 33.44. Making it three wins from nine starts the winner led to the bend and from here on was never headed and went on to cross the line two and a half lengths clear of Tanks For That with Hot Chilli another two and a half lengths back in third place.

Race five: The second semi final was won in the marginally faster time of 33.38 by the David Flanagan trained Beautysbalotelli [Kiowa Sweet Trey – Mweevoo Rose] owned by David Flanagan . Owned by Margaret Barrett this fellow winning for the eighth time led down and was always in command when crossing the line three and a half lengths clear of Slaneyside Diego with River Cullen another three lengths back in third place.

Race seven: The seventh race was won by Michael Daltons Express Coral [Droopys Scholari – Express Wish] who clocked the fast time of 29.16. After a fairly level break the winner led down and from here on was never headed going right away on the back straight to win by seven lengths from Kevinsfort Haze who was second with Five Alley Mick another half length back in third place.

Race eight: The final of the Track Supporters Club Open Bitch Stake was won by the Davy Reynolds trained Oran Rossi [Head Bound – Graylands Pixie] owned by Des and Elliot White . Here Tyra Cool made the early running and led for most of the way and was still in front turning for home. On the home stretch the winner came with a strong late run and got up to win by a short head in a time of 29.12 ,the fastest time of the night to take the winners prize of E850.

Race nine: Trainer David Flanagan was on the mark again in the last race with Bluengold Mighty [Minnies Pavlova – Sharons Baby] owned by Michael McCormack. This race a 570yd event was won in the time of 31.89 when Blengold led from trap six and made every post a winning one going clear to score by two and a half lengths from Ericks Bloom with Oakfield Babe another length and a half back in third place.

Friday Night

Fastest time on Friday night was won by the Ned Fogarty owned Memories Rise [Swords Prince – Lukies Blue] in hte opening race on the card. Unlucky last time out the winner clocked a smart 29.25 when leading down and making it all to win easily by eight and a half lengths from Traceys Lady with Monadreen Bond another three lengths back in third place.The winner is a march puppy .

Race two: Ann Mitcchells Pavlova Lady [Ballymac Ruso – Babett in Brazil] impressed when taking the second race on the card. Here Clonbonane Hero made the early running and led to the last bend where the winner came through and went on to score by two lengths from Dromineer Fairy in 29.77 with Clonbonnane another length back in third place.

Race three: The third race was won by Clonbonane Girl [Head Bound – her Eyesare Blue] in a time of 29.91. A May puppy the winner led down and was never passed holding off the late challenge of Borna Kayla by two lengths with Moyaliff Missy another two lengths back in third place.The winner is owned by Sandy Colville.

Race four: Droopwellsec [Droopys Kewell – Seconds Out] owned by the Heads On syndicate took the fourth race on hte card when coming from behind early leader Bingo Pet at the third bend and going away to win by six lengths from Point Zero in a time of 30.06 with Campo Pine another two lengths back in third place.The winner was making her debut.

Race five: Sheila O Connors Traceys Sammy Jo [Hondo Black – Parnell Daisy] made it two wins from three starts when taking the fifth race on the card. Here Ericks Lucky made the early running and led to the bend where the winner took it up and went away to score by four and a half lengths from Ericks with Cancuin Lady another length back in third place.

Race six: The Joy Sanders owned Wee Nikita [Blackstone Gene – Wee Paris] took the sixth race in a time of 33.70 coming from behind. Here Scarlet Rebel led to the third bend where the winner took it up and went away to win by three and a half lengths from Scarlet with Big Matty another length back in third place. The winner is an April puppy.

Race seven: Owner Ned Fogarty was on the mark again in the seventh race when Memories Team [Swords Prince – Lukies Blue] a litter sister to the previous winner. Here Cuteen Dare led to the back straight where the winner took it up and went on to win by four and a half lengths from the early leader in 29.37 with Baileys Pearl another length and a half back in third place.The winner was making her racing debut.

Race eight: The eighth race on the card was won by by Michael Daltons Express Sailor [Droopyd Scholari – Exxpress Wish] who clocked 29.43 when coming from behind. Here Minnies Canyon led to the third bend where the winner took it up and went away to score by a length and a half from Minnies with Rockview Gem another length and a half back in third place.
