Thurles Gaels Club Notes

U21 Football: Our first entry into the under 21 grade for 7 years took place on Sunday last where we played Boherlahan in Templemore. This game was slow to start and Boherlahan settled first taking a 1-3 to 0-3 half time lead. Two quick goals after the break left us nine points down however we were to stage a comeback which took us all the way to victory on a score of 2-8 to 3-3. Well done to all involved, we are now through to the mid semi final along with Upperchurch, Clonakenny and the loser’s group winners.

Ladies Football: Aishling Byrne from our ladies football team has made the Tipperary ladies football panel for the coming year, she was also part of the panel for Tipperary’s first league game against Armagh on Sunday last. This is a great achievement for the club and a great incentive to all the players. New Coach for 2014 Brian Fitzgibbon will call the panel together soon to start training for the 2014 season.

Juvenile: This Saturday the 15th returning for all players from u6 to u14.This of course will be due the weather which is unpredictable at present. Please keep an eye on our facebook page.
