Sunday next will be a big day for Tipperary Ladies Football as our Intermediate team take on Cavan in the All-Ireland Final at 2:00pm in Croke Park. Ticket prices are as follows - Adults €25, Students/OAP’s €10, U-14’s €8, Groups of U-16’s (min 10) €5 per person + 1 Adult @ €5 each, Family Tickets: 2 Adults €25 each and children €5 each. Club compulsory tickets (€150) are entitled to 20 Juvenile + 2 Adult tickets OR 6 adult tickets.
POST MATCH RECEPTION
Tipperary Ladies Football Association will host a post-match reception in the Louis Fitzgerald Hotel, Naas Road, Dublin at 8.00pm on Sunday 29th September. Tickets are €30 and are available by posting payment to Biddy Ryan, Carrigataha, Cahir, Co. Tipperary or by contacting a County Board Officer.
MATCH REPORT COMPETITION
Tipperary Ladies Football is pleased to announce a Match Report Competition to mark their participation in the TG4 All Ireland Ladies Football Intermediate Final on Sunday September 29th at 2.00pm. There is a competition for the Junior Cycle (1st, 2nd and 3rd year) and also, a Senior Cycle competition (Transition Year, 5th and 6th year). The prize for each winning match report is an All-Ireland Tipperary Ladies Football Jersey (the one that will be worn for the All-Ireland). Closing date is Friday 4th October.
TIPPERARY ALL-IRELAND SEQUENCE AT 18 AND COUNTING
Tipperary’s qualification for the 2013 All-Ireland Intermediate Ladies Football Final stretches to 18 the number of consecutive years which at least one Tipperary team has contested an All-Ireland Final at Croke Park. The consistent run of All-Ireland appearances began back in 1996 when the Tipperary Minor Hurlers defeated Galway after a replay in the All-Ireland Final in Croke Park. The sequence has continued as follows – 1997 (Senior Hurling), 1998 (Junior Camogie), 1999 (Senior Camogie, Minor Hurling), 2000 (Senior Camogie), 2001 (Senior Hurling, Senior Camogie), 2002 (Senior Camogie, Minor Hurling), 2003 (Senior Camogie), 2004 (Senior Camogie), 2005 (Senior Camogie, Tommy Murphy Cup Senior Football), 2006 (Minor Hurling, Under 21 Hurling), 2007 (Minor Hurling), 2008 (Intermediate Ladies Football), 2009 (Senior Hurling), 2010 (Senior Hurling), 2011 (Senior Hurling, Minor Football), 2012 (Minor Hurling) and 2013 (Intermediate Ladies Football). Tipperary’s record in these 24 Croke Park finals is Won 13 Lost 8 Drawn 3.

Best wishes to all Tipperary clubs participating in the All-Ireland 7’s Competitions on the 28th September. Cahir and Brian Boru’s are competing in the Senior All Ireland 7’s. Brian Boru’s will be represented by Nicky Gilmore, Joanne Peters, Sinead Farrell, Carmel Condon, Emer Myles, Sinead Kennedy, Marie Clare Murphy, Caoimhe Condon, Maureen Murphy, Laura Morrissey, Cliona O’Dwyer and Clare Walsh. Brian Boru’s have won the cup in 2009 and the shield in 2008. Ardfinnan will participate in the Intermediate All Ireland 7’s. They have been competing for the last ten years. In 2012 they got to the Semi Final. Moyne/Templetuohy are taking part in the Junior All Ireland 7’s.
GAELIC4MOTHERS & OTHERS
St.Patrick’s (Drangan and Cloneen) Gaelic for Mothers and Others will participate in the half time games at the All Ireland Intermediate Final Tipperary v Cavan. The club was founded in 2012. St. Pat’s will be represented Tess Burke, Catriona Boland, Katie O’Brien (Burke), Breda Dunne, Tracey Carroll, Mairead Foley, Margaret Hogan, Emma Horan, Annmarie Ryan, Trish Strappe and Mentors Helen Hogan and Sheila Butler.
MUNSTER CLUB INTERMEDIATE CLUB QUARTER FINAL
Ballylanders, Limerick defeated Boherlahan Dualla, Tipperary in the Munster Club Intermediate Club Quarter Final in Sean Treacy Park, Tipperary Town.
UNDER 11 LADIES FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT SQUAD BLITZ
Tipperary took part in an Under 11 Ladies Football Development Squad Blitz in Clarecastle on Saturday last. Tipperary played games against Galway, Limerick A, Clare and Limerick B over the course of the day with all receiving medals afterwards. Thanks to the Tipperary panel on the day, their mentors led by Lar Roche and all the parents who attended to cheer on the team.
