Catherine Kiely’s Cuteen Pete impresses at Thurles Greyhound Stadium

Race 2 N2/A8 525: The winner here wwas the novice Belvadere Bound owned by Dermont O’Sulivan.l Here Daryanoor Pearl showed the ebst early foot and led to the back straight where the winne took it up and went on to win by four and ahlf lengths from Daryanoor Pearl in a time of 29.61.

Race 3 S4/S6 360yds: Liam Dwans Borna Scolari made it two wins from four starts when taking this race in a time of 29.64. Leading to the bend form trap 2 the winner was never headed and went on to cross the line three lengths clear of Racoon Boy.

Race 4 A7/A8 525: Here Rine Moore showed the best early pace to lead to the back straight where the David Flanagan trained Johnny Johnson came through to take it up and go on and win by four lengths from Blackbridge in a time of 29.86.

Race 5 A5/A6 525: This race a heat of the Irish Examiner A5/A6 stake was won by Michael Ryan’s Tullovin Fire who scored a trap to line success. Breaking Smartly from trap one the winner was never headed and held off the late challenge of Aoife Sunset in a time of 29.44.

Race 6 A5/A6 525: The second heat of the Irish Examiner stake was won by Foulkscourt Ace whoc clocked a 29.68. Another to make it all the winner had a length and a hlf to spaer over Jog On Rory.

Race 7 A5/A6 525: Thrd heat of the Irish Examiner Stake was won by Wicstun Will who was completeing a double for trainer David Flanagan. Here Going Our Wy made the early running and lef to the back straight where Thurlesbeg Tilly took it up. Coming at a strong late run Wicstun Will came and got up to ebat Thurlesbeg in 29.86.

Race 8 A7/A8 525: Tom Skillen’s Twilight Tear was an easy winner of the 8th rece in a time of 29.43 getting a flyer from trap 6 te winner went right away to score by a massive twelve lengths from west Virginia.

Race 9 A4/A5 525: This race the final of a twelve dog stake was won by Bill Clacks Abeba. The winner led out was passed at the back straight by Saddle Back who looked a winner when in front turning for home. However Abeba came with a storming late run and got up on the line to win with a short head from Saddle back in a time in 23.45.

Race 10 A4/A5 525: Thurles Sales purchase express tickles owned by Mrgaret Hogg was an impressive winner here in a time of 29.57. From traps it as Try Again Mo who led with Jolly Roy taking it up on the back straight and opening up a good lead rounding the top bends express tickles moved into overdirve and showed a terrific turn of foot in the home straight to get up on the line to win by a short head from Jolly Roy in a time of 29.57.

Saturday night

There was a good crowd in attendance on Saturday night where a good card on offer saw some exciting runs. Danny’s Zebo in the alst race trained by John O’Connell made it 13 career wins when clocking 29.40. Breaking smartly from trap 5 the winner lef down and held off the persistant challenge of Grangebeg Blazy by a length and a half.

Race 1 A6/A7 525: Here the winner was Siobhan Mcgraths Outrath girl who was ewinning for the first time although headed from traps the winner took it up on the run to the bed snd went way to score an easy eight length win over Wilma’s Rome Win who was second.

Race 2 A5/A6 525: Here Sonagabana showd the best early pce to lead down along the back straight turning from home circus tiger moved into a challenging position and got up on the line to win by a short head from songagabana from 30.17.

Race 3 S1/S3 360: Michael Nagle’s Rathbay Jill was impressive ehre when clocking 19.53. Ideally drawn in trap 6 the winner hopped out and made it all crossing a lin a length and a half clear of fork handle with cat girl.

Race 4 N1/N6 525: Maura Molly’s I’ll be going made a winnign dbut in the fourth rce on the card. Here Borna Ambitions made the early running with the winner taking t up on the bend and going away to win two lengths from Borna Ambitions in a time of 29.69.

Race 5 A4/45 525 yds: Marting Boylesons’s Centinary Royal made it tow wins when taking the fifth rce on the card. Here foot the turf showed in front early on with the winner coming through at the top ends and going on to win by three lengths from Try again bruno in a time of 29.84.

Race 6 A3/A4 525 yds: Te Derek kehoe owned and trained slaneyside beryl made it nine career wins when clocking 29.53 here. Glenbrack cookey was the early leader but was passed on the backs traight by slaneyside beryl who went on to win by two lengths fro killeady boy in 29.53.

Race 7 A3/A4 600 yds: This race a heat of the fast trap was won by Don Commins’ treehouse gang who clocked 33.53. Here windmill beauty made the arly running and led on the back straight from granny’s column on the run for him treehouse gang proved stronger and crossed the line a half length clear of windmill beauty.

Race 8 A4/A5 570 yds: Here Derek Kehoe trained and Sinead Brennan owned Slaneyside Ynak was the winner.
