County Intermediate Road Championships: This event took place at Dundrum on Sunday last, our ladies team put in a great performance on the day over the 4km course finishing 3rd team overall bringing home bronze and were very close to the silver medals. Edel Leahy finished 5th in 16.56, Liz Power was 13th in 19.58 and Ashling Maher was 14th in 21.24 – well done ladies.

Clubs Challenge: Our annual Track & Field Clubs Challenge is scheduled to take place on Sunday next April 10th commencing at 1.30pm at Moyne Sportsfield. We welcome back Moycarkey Coolcroo and this year we are delighted to welcome Slieveardagh who will take part for the first time. As this is a team event we encourage all our athletes to make a special effort to come along and take part on the day. There will be events for U7 to U20 which will include 60m sprint, middle distance, Long Jump and Relays. Please be at the field by 1pm. Donations of confectionary from our parents would also be welcome as tea and goodies will be served afterwards.

Fixtures: Sunday April 17th – Senior Road Championships in Two Mile Borris. Sunday May 1st – U9 – U12 Track & Field Championships in Templemore. Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th May - U13 to Junior Track & Field Championships in Templemore.
