The very popular programme ‘’Down Your Way’’ presented by Eamonn O Dwyer on Tipp FM will broadcast a special programme Up For The Match on this year’s eagerly awaited Centenary Agri senior hurling final between Drom and Loughmore which will take place in Boherlahan. This is the first time such a programme will be done on a Divisional final. The programme will go out on Tipp FM on the Thursday of the Mid Final week which has to be confirmed but most likely the Mid Final will be on Sunday 11th August and if so the programme will be broadcast on Thursday 8th August . I will have definite dates in next week’s column.

Thurles Credit Union Minor Hurling Championship

In the A championship there was a number of games played last week in Rd 3. Holycross and Moycarkey played out a very exciting draw in a high scoring game, Holycross 2-17 Moycarkey 5-8, Drom defeated Brackens by 1-17 to 0-11 and Sarsfields beat Upperchurch by 4-19 to 1-9. In the B championship Boherlahan who defeated Loughmore last week went down to Gortnahoe by one point in a very exciting game, Gortnahoe 2-13 Boherlahan 2-12.

Roskeen Construction Junior A Hurling Championship

Thurles Sarsfields B team went down at home to Moycarkey with the final score Moycarkey 3-32 Sarsfields 0-10, and Moyne – Templetuohy had the better of exchanges when they defeated JK Brackens at home by 3-14 to 2-8.

Two games were played last week in Rd 4 of the Junior B championship and there were wins for Boherlahan over Clonakenny by 6-15 to 0-8 and for Holycross over Killea by 1-12 to 0-10.

Clean Ireland Recycling Co SHC

Upperchurch played Nenagh in Rd 3 of the county senior hurling championship in Templemore last Saturday evening and after a great game in which Upperchurch gave their all they went down to Nenagh by 1-17 to 2-18.

Seamus O Riain Cup Semi – Final

Thurles Sarsfields defeated Borrisokane last Friday evening in Templemore by 1-24 to 2-16 to qualify for this year’s final.

There was a number of teams from the division in action last weekend, Gortnahoe beat Cahir by 3-17 to 0-10 , Clonakenny were beaten by Shannon Rovers by 0-8 to 1-7 and Holycross went down to Ballybacon – Grange by 1-11 to 2-12.

Loughmore had a big win over Kilsheelan – Kilcash with the final score Loughmore 2-16 Kilsheelan – Kilcash 0-6.
