Faithful Times a star performer at Thurles Greyhound Stadium

Faithful Times (Shane Boy Lee/Josiva) owned by Patsy Richardson was the star performer at Thurles last Saturday night when clocking the fastest time of the night 29.28 taking Heat 1 of the Tipperary GOBA A3 stake making it two wins from five starts. The winner led down from trap 1 and crossed the line a length and a half clear of Emers Boy with Jolly Dodger another two lengths back in third place.

The winner led down from trap 1 and crossed the line a length and a half clear of Emers Boy with Jolly Dodger another two lengths back in third place.

Race 1: The first Race on the card was won by Thomas Warren’s Clonlaheen Rover(Headbound/Killowen Gra). Kevinsfort Haze was the early leader here and was joined on the back straight by the winner. The duo Raced together to the line where Clonlaheen prevailed by a length from Kevinsfort with Slaneyaside Jody staying on another length and a half in third place.

Race 2: The second Race on the card was won by the novice Leigh Bella(Kinloch Brae/Boomtown Exile). Here Move Over Neale showed good early and led to the top bends where the winner came through to win by four and half lengths from a time of 29.33 with Shaunas Princess another three lengths back in third place. The winner is a May puppy.

Race 3: Hayeses Field(Ahane Lad/Kylemore Queen) owned by Pat O Connor and trained by PJ Tynan made it two on the trot when taking the third Race on the card, an open sprint. Going clear from trap 3 the winner was always in commend and scored by four and a half lengths from Sonaquest with Gaytime Cody another length back in third place in a time of 19.46.

Race 5: The second heat of the Tipperary GOBA Stake was won by the Peter O Dwyer owned Drumwood Hill(Kinloch Brae/Knockfinisk Hill) who was led from traps but showed in front on the run to the bend to lead on the back straight from We Was Happy. These positions remained unchanged to the line where four and a half lengths separated them in time of 29.44. Thurlesbeg Road was another length and half back in third place.

Race 6: Luminous Rock(Scolari Me Daddy/Luminous Flower) owned by Denis and Majella Lennon made it two on the trot when taking the third heat of the Tipperary GOBA stake. Here Some Touch led down with the winner taking it up on the back straight and going on to win by a length from Neon Burning in a time of 29.32 with His Back staying on another half length back in third place.

Race 7: The seventh Race on the card, a 750 yd event was won by Billy Dwan’s Droopwellsec(Droopys Kewell/Seconds Out) who made it three career wins. This June puppy took it up on the back straight from early leader Royal Crash and went on to win by four and a half lengths from Confey Causeway in a time of 42.93 with Mercury Gaga another short head back in third place.

Race 8: Trainer Derek Kehoe was on the mark in the eighth Race in the Thurles Track Supporters Club A4 600 yrds stake with Sinead Brennan’s Slaneyside Yank(Premier Fantasy/Slaneyside Sue). Leading down, the winner was never headed and helf off the late challenge of Pre Tax Profit by a neck in a time of 33.59 to take the winner’s prize of €1500 with Kilmessan Header another length and half back in third place.

Race 9: Glengall Girl made the early running in the last Race on the card with the winner Apple Stan(Hondo Black/Bisto Boxer) who came in as a reserve and took it up at the top bends to go on and win by three lengths from Zip- Bullet in a time of 29.60 with Tagalong Hi Rum another half length back in third place. The winner is owned by Catherine and Clive Taylor and trained by Brendan Everard.

Friday

Michael Collins’s Colmyaro Sally(Loyal Honcho/Pochie of Oz) clocked the fastest time of the night at Thurles Greyhound Stadium on Friday running in the last Race the winner was headed early on by Sonagabbana but the winner slipped through on the rails, rounding the opening bend. From here on, the issue was never in doubt and she stayed on strongly to win by two and half lengths in a time of 29.34 from Sonagabbana with Watch Your Speed another length back in third place.

Race 1: The opener was rather a messy affair with Jogon Skippy(Westmeath Hawk/Respect for Lee) coming through on the home straight to win by a length from Drumgower Flower in a time of 30.75 with Katies Medal another two lengths back in third place.

Race 2: Sunset Princess(Last Bid/Tallys Princess) owned by Mrs Jennifer Murphy, Limerick was an easy winner of the second Race on the card when clocking 29.36 making every post a winning one from trap 3. The winner went right away to win by 10 lengths from Cavensheath Mesi and Pop Over Katie who dead heated for second place.

Race 3: Murlens Mave(Ballymac Mave/Lemon Abby) owned by Jimmy Scott and Patrick Murphy won the third Race in a time of 29.4. Trained by Jimmy Scott, the winner was led from traps by Mercury Bullet and went on to hold off the late challenge of Old Hollow Flash by a length. Mercury Bullet was another length and half back in third place.

Race 4: Graigues Icon(Headbound/Graigues Echo) made it two wins when taking the fourth Race in time of 20.04 for the 360 yds. Showing good early pace from trap 2, the winner went on to cross the line three lengths from Swords Way with Florida Dubh another three lengths back in third place.

Race 5: Ille Victoria (Crash/Unsinkeable UK) made it three wins from seven starts for owner Joe Fahy clocking 32.10 for the 570yds. The winner went on the cross the line three and half lengths from Courtneyendajoe with Rorschach another length back in third place.

Race 6: Edward Berry’s Tractor George (Dukes Special/Droopys Nina) made it two wins from two starts when taking the sixth Race in a time of 29.73. Here Kyzer Prince got a flyer and led to the top bends where the winner came through to go on and win by four and half lengths from the early leader Kyzer Prince with Quick Biddy another three and half lengths back in third place.

Race 7: The seventh Race on the card, the second sprint was won in the fast time of 19.51 by Ger O Reilly’s Bucks Dawn (Ballymac Maeve/Mottos Dawn) who led all the way holding off the late challenge of Kendys Gallery with Rahyvira Legend another two and half lengths back in third place. The winner was making it two wins from five starts.
