Moycarkey Borris 4-18
Golden Kilfeacle 0-10
A two-goal blitz after the restart paved the way for holders Moycarkey-Borris’ passage into the Seamus O’Riain Cup Final as the Mid Tipp men demolished Golden-Kilfeacle in a one-sided second half ending up with a massive 20 points victory at a dull and overcast Leahy Park, Cashel on Saturday evening. Although Moycarkey-Borris had to reshuffle their defence after losing Niall O’Sullivan and James Power through injury struggled to stamp their authority on the game throughout the opening half and were lucky to be level going in at the break. Whatever inspirational words the mentors used, it saw a rejuvenated Mid Tipp side laid siege to the opposition goal adding an impressive 4-9 to a single point. It was looking oh, so different for Golden-Kilfeacle, who went in for the half-time cuppa at 0-9 apiece, but that second half goal-blitz scuttled any hope of reaching the Promised Land.
