Private Number makes it five wins on the trot

Making it five on the trot, the James Ryan owned, Maurice Leahy trained Private Number was the star performer again at Thurles on Saturday night.

Running from trap 3 in the last race, the winner showed a good turn of early and led to the bend from All In Fashion. These positions remained unchanged to the line where two lengths separated them in a time of 33.37 with Baggerman another three lengths back in third place. This event was an A1A2 600 yd race.

There was an easy winner here when Pat O Neill’s, Raheenagh Chap clocked 29.81 when winning by a massive eight lengths. From traps, the winner led and was never headed when scoring an all the way success over Group Returns with Old Road Henry another two lengths back in third place.

RACE 2 A4A5 525

The second race on the card also resulted in an all the way success for Laurence Power’s Old Road Ken who led from trap to line. Breaking smartly from trap 6, the winner shot clear of some crowding and ran out a five lengths winner over Borna Champ in a time of 29.68 with Hop Out Tiddles another length and half back in third place.
