Tipperary Camogie will usher in the new year with an invigorated senior panel under new senior manager Eoin Kennedy and new intermediate manager Shane Connolly.
Our senior teams have been doing intensive training to shake off the Christmas cobwebs and under the guidance of our new management team will be a force to be reckoned with in the coming 2014 season. There is a great buzz around the training sessions and with an early start to the Daily Star National League competition our girls will be all set to go. There is a positive mind set at training these days with both panels working very hard and it will not be long before Tipperary camogie will be challenging for honours.

Minor: Tipperary is in a great place at the moment with a wealth of camogie talent coming through from our juvenile teams and this is a credit to all our managers ,coaches and mentors who put in long hours over the last few years to bring out the tremendous camogie potential that we have in Tipperary. The minors (under 18s) had great success last year retaining their Munster title and narrowly losing their All Ireland championship semi-final.
They will be joined this year by some of last years All Ireland U16 A team who swept to victory in thrilling game against Galway last year.
Manager Lennie Phillips along with selectors John Lillis and Mary Howard have had the minors training very hard as the All Ireland Minor Championship starts very early this year. As always our minor team will give a very good account of themselves this year.
Fixtures: Sunday 9th February Tipperary v Clare, Sunday 22nd February Kilkenny v Tipperary, Saturday 22nd March Galway v Tipperary. Munster Minor A Semi-Final - Saturday 15th February (Draw to be decided).
U16 A & U16B Teams: Last year both our U16 teams under the watchful eye of manager Brian Boyle had a tremendous year.
The U16A team went all the way to the top winning the All Ireland Championship as well as winning the U16 A Munster Championship. The U16B team followed closely in their footsteps and only narrowly missed out on an All Ireland semi-final spot.
Most of the same coaching team are in place again this year with Brian managing the two teams.
We know he will do an excellent job again with the very talented he has available to him on both teams.
There is a squad of 60 players in training between the two teams at the moment so he will have a very tough job selecting him teams. Tipperary camogie has a wealth of talent coming through the ranks which augers well for the future of camogie in this county.
Tipperary will be entering two teams in both the Munster and All Ireland Championship. The Munster U16 championship starts the 9th March (draws not yet taken place) The U16 all Ireland Championship starts in June.

At the Tipperary adjourned convention Mike Keeley (Ballina) was ratified as development officer.
Mike will Liase with all clubs regarding all go games competitions and organise coaches and mentors for all u13 ,u14 and u15 development squads.
Last year was a very good year for our development teams and we fully expect to build on our success this year.
More details will follow. We wish Mike well in this very impotant position.
A development committee will also be put in place in the coming weeks to help out with the training and selection for matches.
