Kildangan Hand Toome A Ten-Point Defeat

Kildangan 2-19 Toomevara 0-15

Kildangan stormed to an impressive ten-point win over Toomevara at MacDonagh Park, Nenagh on Sunday afternoon.

Toomevara spurned a number of scoring opportunities (Toomevara 14 wides, Kildangan 14 wides) and misfired badly in their attack, but the Greyhounds can have little complaint about this result.

Throughout this contest Kildangan played a far sharper brand of hurling, Séamus Gleeson’s men were prepared to take risks, to try things and to take on their men. The support play of the Kildangan men also caught the eye, especially in the opening half when Kildangan faced into a stiff breeze but still managed to build a two-point lead (0-9 to 0-7) by the interval.

For Kildangan full-back Martin Minehan, Jack Loughnane at midfield, Rory Whelan at centre-forward and Ruairí Gleeson in the corner caught the eye while Joe and Tadhg Gallagher were absolutely exceptional. See this weeks Tipperary Star for full report.
