Blackcastle Templemore Harps

The Junior A’s were back on winning ways with a comfortable 3-0 win away to Borrisokane in the League. Harps dominated form the start and created a number of chances but it was still scoreless at the break. The 2nd period was the same as the first but the difference was the Templemore side took their chances. Chris Moore got off the mark inside the 1st minute. James Kavanagh doubled the lead on the hour mark. Moore’s 2nd sealed the 3 points on 80 minutes.

This was a great team performance from the lads as a number of players were unavailable. Cillian O Neill put in a man of the match performance in the middle of the park.

The Junior B’s went down 3-1 to Rearcross A also in the league. They were 1 down inside the first 20 minutes and went further behind after the break. Paul Tuohy pulled 1 back but the visitors sealed victory with a third.

The Youths enjoyed a 2-1 win over Clodaigh Rangers in the League. Rangers were well deserving of their 1 nil lead at the break, but the homeside started to dominate in the 2nd half and Colin O Riordan had levelled on 55 minutes. Harps went search of a winner and it came on 75 minutes through that man O Riordan after a well worked move. Kevin Hassett deserves a special mention as he was outstanding in defence.

The U13 A’s won well at home to Ballymackey in the League on a 5-0 scoreline. Eanna McBride got them off the mark. Jason Heskin made it 2-0 with a well taken free-kick. The 3rd came after the break through an Eanna McBride free-kick that’s wasn’t cleared and Jamie Ryan was quickest to react to make it 3-0. The 4th was through another free-kick, Cain Russell cross and Ben Stapleton headed home. Eanna McBride rounded off the scoring with a great individual goal; he cut through the defence before slotting home.

The U11’s had mixed fortunes away to Ballymackey. The A –Team lost 4-2 with Harps goals coming from Dylan Cody & Conor Cadell. The B-Team won 2-1 with goals from Patrick Moloney & Kevin Sheedy.
