Drom-Inch’s Greg wins huge prize.
Tipperary’s Greg Broderick captured one of the richest prizes in Irish Show Jumping on Sunday last, winning the €45,000 Irish Breeders Classic Final at Barnadown Stud in Co Wexford.
Riding the 5 year old gelding Araghbeg Clover, which he owns jointly with Declan Orphen, the Drom-inch man came out on top after a 7 horse jump-off to take the lucrative prize.
On Saturday Broderick was crowned Show Jumping Ireland National Grand Prix League champion for the second year in a row, winning two rounds at Coilog, coupled with further wins at Barnadown, Charleville, Galway County and the Cork Summer Show. He had dominated the league from the outset with Rincarina, Golden Exchange and Mrs Quinn, while he was also placed on a couple of occasions with the exciting seven year old, MHS Going Global.
