Tipp Ladies To Play In Irish Open

Three ladies from Thurles Golf Club have won the AIB Ladies Irish Open Club Challenge Munster Final.

Three ladies from Thurles Golf Club have won the AIB Ladies Irish Open Club Challenge Munster Final.

The winning teams earn a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play with a professional at the Ladies Irish Open in August along with an invite to the Gala dinner and overnight accommodation.

The teams are Thurles Golf Club, consisting of Brigiette Behan, Orla McKevitt and Louise Maher and Carrick-on-Suir Golf Club, consisting of Connie Walsh, Bridget Mitchell and Jackie Kirwan

Over 180 clubs throughout the country, resulting in a total of 584 teams and 1,752 ladies, entered this year’s Club Challenge with 120 teams qualifying for the provincial finals.

The remaining Tipperary clubs to compete in the 2012 Ladies Irish Open Club Challenge Munster Final were:

Cahir Park Golf Club (Chris Noonan, Caitlin Fitzgerald, Joanne Noonan); Tipperary Golf Club (Renagh Murphy, Ann K Creamer, Cora Fitzgerald); Nenagh Golf Club (Julie Barkman, Liz Mckeever, Marie Corrigan); Clonmel Golf Club (Bobbi Holohan, Mary Bolger, Ann Boyle)
