Saturday morning kicks off with a charity walk to Galtymore starting from Cush car park at 10.30am under the leadership of Thomas O’Neill.

All funds raised will go towards building an orphanage and schools in Tanzania named in honour of the late Ian McKeever. The idea for the walk came from Sinead and Sarah O’Neill who are fundraising as part of the Kilimanjaro Achievers group. On Sunday the club celebrates its 10th anniversary with a walk from Aherlow House followed by a meal afterwards. The walk, led by Club President Danny Bailey, will follow the route taken on the first walk 10 years ago. All are welcome to take part. The meal afterwards is E10. The weekly Wednesday evening walks continue. The meeting point on July 24 is the Rossadrehid waterworks and on July 31 it’s Kilcoran Lodge Hotel, Cahir, both at 7pm. Thanks to all the leaders, especially to Liam Doheny for the speical Barrow River walk on Sunday.
