Climbing For Those With Special Needs

Last Sunday turned out a beautiful day and a busy one for members of Mid-Tipp Hillwalkers. A dozen or so of our most experienced rockclimbers headed off to Ballykeefe Amphitheatre and spend a most enjoyable afternoon teaching basis abseiling and rockclimbing to the members of South Tipperary Autism Support Group as part of a programme to provide experience of the outdoors to special needs children and their siblings. At the same time, Ollie Walsh led a very successful walk in the Galtee Mountains for 10 appreciative participants.

Next on our busy programme of events is a high level walk leaving from outside Cashel firestation at 11am, on Sunday next, August 28.
