Our youngsters took to the track this weekend as the first session of Munsters took place at the indoor track in Nenagh. Aoife Sharkey and Katie Costello took part in the Girls U11 60m sprint and Long jump. Both girls competed very well with personal bests in the long jump but were just outside the medals. Also competing was Jade O’ Farrell Bond in the U13 girls 60m, long jump and shot. Jade threw very well in the shot with 6m but did not qualify to the final six. Jade also jumped 3.58m in the long jump which was a new personal best.

Training is back in the complex, Borrisokane this Wednesday. Ages 4-9 will be from 6 o’clock to 7 o’clock and ages 9 up will be from 7 o’clock until 8.

The club will be taking part in the County Championship on the 12th and 13th March in the Indoor arena in Nenagh. All athletes from 8 to 18 will be expected to compete.
