Mary Immaculate College, St Patrick’ Campus, Thurles is delighted to be holding a Student Teacher Experience Taster Day this Saturday at 10.30am (23rd April).

Those attending the event can expect to get in-depth information on the teacher education programmes at the College and to learn all about the School Placement Experience.

Programmes currently on offer at MIC, St Patrick’s Campus, Thurles include the following four undergraduate degree programmes:

BA in Education, Business Studies and Accounting (MI009)

BA in Education, Business Studies and Religious Studies (MI010)

BA in Education, Irish and Religious Studies (MI011)

BA in Education, Irish and Business Studies (MI012)

The programmes are validated by the University of Limerick and are accredited by the Teaching Council.

The programmes will offer wholly unique content and subject combinations, presenting very favourable employment prospects to graduates.

The Taster Day will also provide attendees with a great opportunity to sit-in on taster lectures, tour the campus and experience what college life is all about. For those who have, as yet, not fully decided on their final CAO application choices it is a great chance to learn all about secondary school teaching as a career option.
