The National Franchise Centre (NFC) supported by the Irish Franchise Association will host an all-inclusive 1 Day Franchise event in Limerick City on Wednesday March 20th. In addition to customised workshops, exhibitors with Franchise opportunities and information on supports, this new and dynamic event will feature an Irish Franchise Success Story - John Mac Namara, a 2 time Entrepreneur of the Year winner and CEO of BCM Business Cost Management, established his business in 1993 and has franchised worldwide into 17 countries.
A day not to be missed, the National Franchise Event will cater to all stakeholders - potential franchise investors, franchisors, franchisees, businesses who want to get an insight as to why the model is so successful and those who just want to explore the concept. “Franchising is a wonderful business model for many reasons. For example, it turns the traditional business model on its head whereby international businesses pay your business to expand in their countries rather than you having to invest to expand in those countries”, John stated.
“The NFC is an enterprise development centre established by Limerick Institute of Technology in partnership with Limerick Chamber. Collaboration is integral to our value system and accordingly, we welcome the opportunity to facilitate a platform event such as this. The day brings together two key national organisations active in the Franchise remit, The National Franchise Centre and Irish Franchise Association” noted Dr. Fergal Barry, President of Limerick Chamber and Vice President of Research, Development and Enterprise, LIT”.
Dr. Barry continued “undoubtedly this is a must for anyone in business in terms of best practice approaches, those considering expansion or hoping to start a new venture. All too often the area of franchising can be misunderstood and it is important for people considering this model to gather meaningful information. The National Franchise Event serves as an excellent opportunity through which people can consider franchising and determine its applicability to them”.
David Killeen, Chairman of the Irish Franchise Association commented “The Irish Franchise Association are happy to support this event which we see as an important National platform to highlight franchising and assists us deliver on our mission to promote best practice ethical franchising in Ireland”.
The “National Franchise Event” will take place on Wednesday 20th March at the National Franchise Centre and feature a number of key presentations.
