County Tipperary has been granted just over €1m for 12 units to help those in need of housing. The money, which comes from Junior Minister for Housing Jan O’Sullivan. The allocation has been welcomed by Junior Minister Alan Kelly.
The funding forms part of a €32m funding boost that will provide more than 260 new homes nationally.
Some €12.2m will allow the acquisition of properties nationally that will enable people with a disability to live independently in the community.
These acquisitions have been prioritised by local authorities and will be completed by a range of approved housing bodies.
