New Feature At Chapel Lane Roscrea

Pictured at the handover of the new feature are L/R: Mary Conroy, Niamh Buchanan, Manageress, McDonalds Restaurant, Roscrea, Rose Crofton and Mary Heffernan.
We extend our grateful thanks to McDonalds Restaurant of Carrig Road who have borne the full cost of this feature. In addition, they have supplied extra litter bins around their restaurant area as well as on their own premises keeping their premises most inviting and grounds as litter-free as possible. They are an example to many other businesses.

Roscrea Tidy Towns committee would like to sincerely thank McDonald’s Restaurant for their generous sponsorship of this new feature.

Situated as it is on the junction of Chapel Lane with Limerick Street, the addition of this flower bed transforms what was becoming an eyesore into cheerful floral display.

The feature itself is built-in and was made and fitted by Irish Recycled Products who are based at Birr Enterprise Centre, Co. Offaly. All their products are manufactured from mixed plastic waste material that would otherwise be destined for landfill. The structure itself is weatherproof, safe and durable. It is impervious to water and so will outlast timber alternatives by several generations. The flowers and shrubs seen here are a temporary arrangement until the corner wall behind the structure can been either dashed or painted.
