DEPUTY Noel Coonan has welcomed the allocation of €252,000 for Rural Water Schemes in North Tipperary. “There was a total of €193,000 assigned to North Tipperary County Council for Small Public Schemes.

The selection of these schemes is devolved to the local authorities.

“There was a further amount of €59,000 assigned to North Tipperary County Council for group scheme upgrades in Ballinderry, Brittas, Cloneybrien, Fantane, Abbeyville, Corbally, Portroe, Castlelough, Bawn / Kiliffity / Kilemare and Ardcroney,” he said. “This allocation was announced by my Fine Gael colleague Environment Minister Phil Hogan. I will continue to lobby Minister Hogan to prioritise funding for County Tipperary.”
