Proposed
Annual Review - Templemore Clonmore &
Killea

A meeting to consider the publication of an Annual Review for Templemore Clonmore & Killea, will take place in the Tony Shelley Room, Templemore Library at 8pm on Thursday 28th February 2013. Anyone interested in getting involved and committing to the project will be most welcome.

Also those interested in submitting articles/documents are invited to attend.

12 Fire Stations to Remain

Cllr Martin Fogarty asked Director of Services Karl Cashen whether the proposed amalgamation of North and South Tipperary County Councils will have any impact on the number of Fire Stations in the county. Mr Cashen said the amalagamation will “not affect” the seven stations in North Tipp, or the five stations in South Tipp. “It won’t have any impact at all,” said Mr Cashen.

Public Lighting

Public lighting for the centre of Templemore is expected to be finished by St Patrick’s Day, said Town Clerk Tom McGrath. Revenue from pay parking will be used for road surfacing works on Patrick Street.

Dog Soiling

Cllr Marcus Wilson said dog soiling is “becoming hazardous” for people to walk around town. “Horse and dog excrement on the paths are now just gone beyond a joke. It’s not on at all. It brings up all sorts of issues. It’s disgusting to walk into it.” Appropriate measures will have to be taken. “It’s disgusting to get dog excrement into your car or your house.”

Life Buoys

New Life Buoys for around the Lake will cost about E135 each. Six such buoys should be located in visible areas around the Lake, suggested Mr McGrath.
