St Cronan’s Amateur Boxing Club was honoured to be hold the County Finals last weekend.

Having 16 bouts scheduled for Saturday and 37 on Sunday, it was a busy weekend for the club and all involved, with 13 clubs and their supporters turning up from as far away Tramore and other parts of Co Waterford. The president of the club Gary Thompson said “We would like to thank everyone who turned up to support the club, we would especially like to thank Dr McManus for his hard work and support checking all the 140 boxers that attended the event. We would also like to wish all the boxer’s well on their way to the Munster finals, especially our own boy’s Jimmy McCarthy, John Hutchinson, Michael Doyle, Christopher Pratt, Terry Harty, and Bernard Doyle.”
