Sean Treacy Graveside Oration

The South Tipperary Republican Commemoration Committee are delighted to announce that this year’s Sean Treacy Commemoration will take place at his graveside in Kilfeakle on Sunday 21st October, assembling at 2.45pm.

This is the ninety second year since his death at the hands of crown forces on Talbot Street in Dublin. He was a native of Soloheadbeg and was a Volunteer in the Third Tipperary Brigade I.R.A. He involved himself at every opportunity in military action. The vice president of Sinn Féin, Mary Lou McDonald TD will give the oration on the day. All are welcome. The Carrick-on-Suir Republican Flute Band will be in attendance. Do come along.
