Roscrea Hurling Club - AGM

The AGM of Roscrea Hurling Club was held on Sunday 20th January in the Clubhouse.

Chairman Christopher Neville thanked everyone for attending and looked forward to a productive meeting. The following outgoing officers were returned Life President Ned Treacy, Vice President’s Mick Hogan, Kevin Moloney Senior, Mick Minogue and Diarmuid Fitzgerald Senior, Patron’s Mrs Ann O’Reilly and Fr. Michael Harding, Chairman Christopher Neville, Vice-Chair Brendan Carey, Secretary Pauline Martin-O’Rourke Asst. Sec Mark McLoughlin, Registrar Tadhg O’Connor, Treasurer Paul Phelan, Subscription Officer Kevin Moloney Junior, Co. Board Delegate Hugh McDonnell, North Board Delegate Bertie Fitzpatrick was elected as was Marc O’ Meara to the position of Club PRO. Brian King was thanked for his contribution to the Club as PRO and for his professionalism and the approach with which he took towards all things Hurling in Roscrea. The following committee members were also elected Roddy Ryan, Kevin Brady, Liam Cashin, Jim McDonnell, Francis O’Rourke and Mickey Phelan. The following Managers and Selectors were elected for 2013 also, Senior Manager John Carroll, Senior Selectors Paul Delaney and John Pyne. Junior A Manager Conor Egan and Selectors Fergus Hogan, Neil O’Connor and John Carroll. Under 21A Manager Joey Murphy, Selectors Donie Kealy, Brendan Carey and John Carroll. Minor Selectors Ger Fitzpatrick, Eamonn England Junior, Liam Cashin, Jim McDonnell and Darren O’Connor. Under Aon Gno Eile an open discussion was held amongst all present about the running of the North Senior Championship and the merits of the various proposals put forward. The members present voted by a majority to support the 4-4-5 groups.
