The race is on! Stapleton’s Bakery in Roscrea has beaten off stiff competition from hundreds of excellent Irish businesses in their bid to go for gold at this year’s National Q Mark Awards.

The prestigious nomination will see Joseph Stapleton, the Bakery’s Company Director and his team donning their tuxedos and evening gowns to be photographed by the paparazzi, as they walk the red carpet at this year’s star-studded Q Mark ceremony, which takes place on September 28th at Dublin’s Burlington Hotel.

At last week’s announcement of finalists at EIQA House in Dublin, the team from Stapleton’s, who previously won the title in 2010, were being tipped as being the hot contenders to take the prize for a second year. The Q Mark Award honours businesses for their achievement in being recognised as having the highest standard of Hygiene and Food Safety in the country.

Stapleton’s Bakery pioneered by Joe & Mary Stapleton in Roscrea is steeped in heritage and tradition and currently run by the third generation of the family having been originally established in 1920.

Stapleton’s mantra is ‘Because Quality Matters!’ and the team are very proud of the fact that each of their breads is ‘True to Taste’ which is achieved by using traditional recipes.

The Q Mark is recognised by a staggering 87% of Irish consumers as guaranteeing the highest standards of quality and excellence.
